Supply Technologies creates 20 Hull jobs with new facility in city

Manufacturing specialist Supply Technologies has created 20 jobs in Hull after it opened a new facility in the city.

Supply Technologies, which helps businesses improve their supply chain and efficiency, has in previous years worked with some of East Yorkshire’s biggest names in the caravan manufacturing sector.

The business has 10 sites across the UK, and has now unveiled its new base in Havelock Street in Hull.

Twenty new jobs have been created with the move, as Supply Technologies looks to expand its presence in Hull.

Gary Russell, director of business development, said: “Hull and East Yorkshire has been of strategic importance to Supply Technologies for a number of years.

“We have developed a growing and active customer base, which has facilitated the need to open a dedicated branch to serve the region.

“It also creates capacity to expand our footprint further into Yorkshire along the M62 corridor as well as establishing a presence in Lincolnshire and further along the East Coast.

“This new branch will provide our customers with unparalleled capabilities to ensure that their manufacturing operations are highly efficient and productive as a result of our best in class, localised supply chain management solutions.”

The 10,000 sq.ft distribution centre will support Supply Technologies’ growing customer base in East Yorkshire, and open up new opportunities to support manufacturers.

Supply Technologies has been active in East Yorkshire for a number of years, supporting the leisure industry and working with the region’s caravan manufacturers.

It has also helped customers in the industrial equipment and transport sectors.

In recent times, Supply Technologies has also increased its activity in the modular building sector.

Hull and the wider East Yorkshire is home to an array of rapidly-growing modular firms, which build everything from schools, hospitals and bathrooms.

Supply Technologies works with modular builders to help them reach the highest levels of productivity.

The company delivers efficiencies for its customers’ supply chains through the management and supply of a portfolio of more than 250,000 products, including precision mechanical components, fasteners and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).

Supply Technologies has more than four decades of experience improving the efficiency of its customers’ supply chains.

Working in more than 100 industries, its team of 1,200 work across 70 sites, including ten in the UK.

The business also supplies several Total Supply Management Solutions, which provides customers with the products they need, utilising more than 10,000 supplier partnerships.
