Items in Supervalu, Boots and IKEA have all been recalled by the Food Safety Authority this week.
Supervalu are recalling their own brand "Seed Mix and Sesame Seeds" due to the Presence of the Unauthorised Pesticide Ethylene Oxide.
The FSAI said: "This pesticide is not authorised for use in foods sold in the EU. Although the consumption of products containing the contaminated sesame seeds does not pose an immediate risk to health, there may be heath issues if there is continued consumption of ethylene oxide over a long period.
"Therefore, exposure to this substance needs to be minimised. Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores supplied with the implicated batches."

Boots pharmacy are recalling "Multivitamins 180 Tablets" which wrongly contain multivitamins and iron tablets.
The FSAI said in a statement: "Boots UK is recalling the above batches of its Boots Multivitamins 180 tablets due to the inclusion of its Multivitamin and Iron tablets in error, which are not declared on the label.
"Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in Boots stores supplied with the implicated batches."
