Supermum Vicky Paton wins Say it with Flowers competition

This week’s winner of the Wishaw Press Say it with Flowers competition is supermum Vicky Paton.

Hairdresser Vicky balances her time between work and caring for her son Jack, who suffers from the condition haemophilia.

Her friend Joanne McCafferty, a clinical support worker from Wishaw, nominated Vicky to receive the bouquet for always putting her two-year-old son first.

We delivered Vicky this stunning bouquet - courtesy of Newmains florist Pixie’s Petals - at her home in Motherwell this week.

Joanne said: “Vicky is without doubt the strongest person I know.

“Jack has a condition called haemophilia, which results in excessive bleeds on a regular basis, as well as picking up bugs and viruses due to a low immune system.

“Vicky takes this all in her stride though and always puts everything on hold to ensure Jack is her number one priority at all times.

“She’s the best mum I know and is an inspiration to me and all her friends and family.”

As well as being an excellent mum, Vicky is also a very successful and popular hairdresser.

She has just opened a new salon in Craigneuk called Colourz Hair Salon, but Joanne is sure that Jack will always remain her number one priority.

She added: “Vicky is very popular through her work and is very chatty and friendly.

“Jack will start nursery in September and I’m sure they’re both going to do really well because Vicky is such a determined and hard-working girl.”
