Aldi stores have announced some major changes in the way they operate which will be in effect from today onwards.
The changes will see certain restrictions relaxed as well as some new rules around the supermarket's priority shopping hour.
Aldi CEO Giles Hurley announced the changes and thanked the supermarket's "amazing customers."
Here is what is changing:
Removing Product Restrictions
Aldi say their suppliers and colleagues have worked incredibly hard during recent weeks to keep stores well-stocked.
Because of this are considering the supermarket "well-stocked" and have lifted product restrictions that were previously in place.
Aldi has thanked its customers for "purchasing what they need'" and now have "good availability."
Extended opening hours
Because of the improvement to product availability, Adli say there is no need for customers to shop first thing in the morning.
From Tuesday 14th April, they will be extending opening hours in almost all stores.
You can now shop until 10 pm Monday to Saturday.
Normal Sunday opening hours remain.
Supporting vulnerable customers
From Tuesday 14th April, Aldi is also extending priority shopping time for emergency workers.
This will now include all groups entitled to a Blue Light card, such as social care workers, first responders and St John’s Ambulance staff.
These groups, alongside the NHS, Police and Fire Service, will be given exclusive access to stores 30 minutes before normal opening on Sundays.
In addition, they will continue to have priority access to our stores around the clock.
