UK supermarkets are recalling packets of pork scratchings over fears they could cause serious food poisoning.
The savoury snacks made by Snaffling Pig are being removed from the shelves after it was revealed they could be contaminated with salmonella, which can cause fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.
According to the Food Standards Agency the company's Perfectly Salted Pork Scratchings product, which is sold by Morrisons, should not be eaten and instead returned to their point of purchase for a full refund.

The items, which come in 45g packs and have a best before date of June 11, 2022, are also available from Ocado and Amazon.
Those requiring further information are being advised to email hungry@snafflingpig.co.uk or call on 020 3096 5200.
A pork scratching-related salmonella outbreak in late 2019 saw more than 500 people across the country fall ill.

Also affected are Holland and Barrett's Hulled Sesame Seeds, with stores nationwide advising customers of potential salmonella risks involving all 125g sized packs displaying a best before date of September 2022.
Other food safety announcements made this week include Waitrose which is recalling its Prosciutto Cappelletti with a pack size of 310g, as well as its Essentials Cheese and Smoked Ham Tortelloni with a pack size of 300g.
These products are being flagged because of undeclared pistachio amongst their contents.
This means they are a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to pistachio, or nuts.
