Supermarkets are now selling Cadbury Creme Egg ice cream

Lidl is selling limited edition Creme Egg flavoured ice cream just in time for Easter.

Made from a combination of vanilla ice cream, chocolate pieces and swirls of Creme Egg sauce, shoppers will soon be able purchase 480g tubs of Cadbury Creme Egg ice cream from a local store.

Creme Egg ice cream sticks - featuring an orange fondant centre covered in milk chocolate - will also be available in packs of three.

Both products are priced at £1.99 - but you'll have to wait if you want to pick up a box from Lidl .

The ice cream products will launch in the retailer's UK stores on Thursday, March 12 - one month before Easter Sunday .

Lidl isn't the only supermarket stocking their freezers with Creme Egg flavoured treats.

Tesco are also selling the 480g tubs for the more expensive price of £3.50.

At Asda , customers can get the same two products for £2 per item - plus an additional Cornetto-inspired individual ice creams.

For the same price, the box contains four wafer cones topped with Creme Egg ice cream and a 'gooey' orange centre.

The same three Cadbury Creme Egg flavoured products at Morrisons for £3 each - and you can find the ice cream tub and wafer cones at Iceland for £2 per item.
