Supermarket targeted by thieves in early-morning raid at Ayrshire store

An Ayrshire supermarket was raided by thieves over the weekend, police have confirmed.

Officers were called to Lidl, based on Boglemart Street in Stevenston, just after 4am on Saturday, November 13.

Police are currently following a line of enquiry.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told Ayrshire Live: “Around 4.15am on Saturday, November 13, officers were called to a report of a break-in at a premises on Boglemart Street, Stevenston.

"Enquiries into the matter are ongoing.”
