Supermarket Sweep start date revealed as well as celebrity lineup for new series

It was the show that had contestants going wild in the aisles to find inflatables, put pricing guns into action and get all the items on Dale's shopping list, and ITV have confirmed when Supermarket Sweep will make its big comeback.

The hit daytime show was popular with all ages, thanks in no small part to its charismatic host, the late, great Dale Winton.

Dale died last year and earlier in the summer, the host for the new series of Supermarket Sweep was revealed as X Factor and Celebrity Big Brother contestant turned This Morning presenter Rylan Clark-Neal.

Rylan will bring Supermarket Sweep to ITV2 for 20 hour long episodes, kicking off on Monday, September 9 and airing every Monday - Friday at 8pm.

And there'll be a familiar voice on the shop tannoy too, with Corrie's Fizz aka Jennie McAlpine joining in the fun.

Across the series an array of celebs will be popping in for a trip round the aisles, including national treasures Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, The Only Way is Essex’s Pete Wicks and Bobby Norris, Love Island’s Maura Higgins and Tommy Fury, Celebs Go Dating’s Tom Read Wilson and Made in Chelsea’s Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo.

There will also be a Love Island special featuring Anton and Belle, Chris and Harley and Ovie and India.
