Supermarket product recalled amid fears it is ‘unsafe to eat’

A SUPERMARKET product has been recalled amid fears it is “unsafe to eat”.

Morrisons has recalled its own brand crushed garlic after an ingredient was left out of the product which prevents microbiological growth, therefore presenting a potential risk to customers.

Anyone with a 75g pack of the product with a best before date of October 19, 2025, has been urged not to eat it and to return it to the store where it was bought for a full refund.

Notices are also being displayed in stores where the product was sold, explaining why the product is being recalled and what customers should do if they have bought the product.

The recall notice applies to Scotland, England and Wales.
