By now, we're all aware of just how busy and in demand supermarkets are as shoppers still rush out to do their food shops.
Due to lockdown restrictions put in place by the Government, all non-essential shops are now closed meaning supermarkets are one of only a few groups of stores allowed to stay open.
For the public, new rules mean you can only leave your home once a day providing you're not a key worker. Once a day for exercise, an essential food shop or medical care.
To ensure social distancing is met at all times, many supermarkets are operating a queuing system at its stores to make sure only a limited amount of customers are allowed inside at anyone time.
Tesco is operating a strict 50 customers limit and working on a one in one out basis.
With limits also in place for how many of each item a customer can buy it does mean supermarkets are managing stock level much better, with many items fully stocked in stores.

Every supermarket is currently advising customers that there is plenty of stock to go around meaning it is not essential to arrive at stores as soon as they open.
This is generally when stores tend to be at their busiest and will mean you face the longest queuing times.
It is best, if you're able to, to visit your local supermarket late afternoon to evening when stores tend to be much quieter. For example, we visited our local Aldi store at 6.30pm last week and found queuing was to a minimal.
Around 3pm-5pm or 6.30pm- closing will mean you won't have as much time added on to your usual shopping trip.
