Supermarket launches Christmas pudding for dogs

Forget snaffling a piece of turkey or a stray pig in blanket, dogs can now up their Christmas Day eating game and really get into the festive spirit - Ocado has started selling a Christmas pudding for dogs.

The festive dessert, which has been around since the mid-19th century, is already an essential part of Christmas for many but this year for the first time the entire family can indulge in the treat.

Ocado has teamed up with pet food brand Laughing Dog Food to sell boxes of six mini puddings for £4.99. They are oven baked, packed with crunchy biscuits to help keep teeth clean and come decorated with yoghurt.

The Christmas puddings are not the only festive treat you can buy your dog for Christmas. Dog food brand Good Boy has launched dog-friendly pigs in blankets made from real meat. You can get them at Tesco, Sainsbury's and Amazon.

You can also get luxury biscuit boxes for your dog, Pedigree Christmas stockings full of meat treats and even Christmas macarons, priced at £9.

The dog-friendly pud is just one way pets can get involved in festive fun this Christmas, with Lily's Kitchen launching a special Three Bird Roast dog food and the supermarket even selling three different types of dog advent calendars for the occasion.
