Teachers and school staff can now receive a new 10 per cent discount at an Airdrie supermarket.
Morrisons is offering the new “thank you” reward for all school workers in all its stores, alongside its existing discount for NHS staff.
It came into effect yesterday and will be in place until after Christmas, as the company shows appreciation of all those “who are looking after the nation’s children and supporting them through the Covid-19 pandemic”.

The 10 per cent discount is available to all teachers, classroom assistants, school catering staff, caretakers, cleaners and school office workers, and will be applied on presentation of a school photo ID at checkouts.
Morrisons chief executive David Potts said: “Teachers and school staff are facing many challenges and the education of our children has never been more important – this is our way of saying thank you as they continue to care for and educate our kids.”
The discount does not apply to online purchases or products including alcohol, pharmaceutical products, infant or formula milk, or tobacco.
