Supermarket Bank Holiday opening hours in Scotland for Tesco, Asda, Aldi, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons

It's almost the Bank Holiday weekend, with Scots to enjoy an extra day off in the sunshine.

Supermarket giants will be open for shoppers throughout the weekend for all food and essential needs, but some hours may be amended.

If you're popping to the shops over the next few days, we've put together a rough guide of which stores will be running as normal across the country.

From Tesco, Asda, Aldi, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons, each supermarket chain will be operating their own set of of hours on Bank holiday Monday on May 31.

With this in mind, the information is subject to change and each store may vary depending on size and location, so it's best to check your local branch before setting off.

Tesco

Tesco stores in Scotland will be open this Bank Holiday weekend.

Most Tescos are operating slightly reduced hours over Bank Holiday Monday, but this may not apply to every store.

Opening hours will be different for Express, Metro and Extra stores depending on location. Check you local shop on Tesco's store locator.

Sainsbury’s

On Bank Holiday Monday, many Sainsbury's will operate on "seasonal" opening hours.

Morrisons

Morrisons stores will be open as usual this Bank Holiday weekend, but some stores may close earlier on Monday.

Branches will be open as usual on Saturday and Sunday, so it's just Monday which could look different.

Asda

Asda stores are open over the Bank Holiday weekend but some stores may be operating with reduced hours.

Asda has said opening hours vary for each store, but you can find the opening times of your nearest store by using the online store locator.

Aldi

The major retailer have made changes to their regular opening hours in 800 of its stores across the UK.

This May Bank Holiday weekend, over 800 stores across Scotland, England and Wales will now remain open until 10pm on May 29 and 4pm on May 30 to ensure everyone can stock up on goodies to make the most of their weekend.

The 800 stores will also remain open till 8pm on Bank Holiday Monday.

The opening times of some stores may vary, so customers should check details on Aldi’s website before their trip.
