From Public Service:
Derek Barnett, vice president of the Police Superintendents' Association, didn't mention any names. But he didn't have to. He used his speech at the association's annual conference to demand an end to the 'in-fighting' within the Met, saying allegations of racism are damaging and undermine efforts by thousands of colleagues to eradicate racism in the police service.
Barnett said: "How damaging is it to the credibility of the police service, not just the Metropolitan Police Service, to have the superb work being performed daily by our police officers, PCSOs and police staff undermined by such overtly publicity seeking moves?"
But where does he stand on Sir Ian? (That's a perfectly innocent question, by the way.)
