Superhero toddle at Gateshead Metrocentre is out to raise Cash for Kids this Sunday

A fund-raiser in Gateshead will see mini superheroes in action this Sunday in aid of fellow youngsters.

A Superhero Toddle event is taking place at intu Metrocentre where children are invited to don capes and join the Metrognomes for an eye-catching walk around the shopping centre.

And all the money raised from their £5 registration fee will be going to charity.

Metro Radio’s Cash for Kids supports disabled and disadvantaged children and those to benefit from the charity toddle will be from the North East.

The young superheroes, who start their toddle in Exhibition Square, will all receive a "super certificate" and water bottle once over the finish line.

Dan Slee, manager of the charity, said: “Cash for Kids are delighted to be involved in this first Superhero Toddle event at intu Metrocentre.

"All the money raised will help to make a big difference in our community."

And families who post their pictures of their superhero toddler on social media and tag in @intuMetrocentre are in with a chance of winning four tickets to see Marvel Universe Live at Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on November 21.
