Superdrug same-day delivery service launches with nine Edinburgh stores involved

Superdrug has launched a same-day delivery service – and nine Edinburgh stores are involved.

The retailer's crucial 'store to door' scheme can be used by anyone who lives within an eight mile radius of participating stores, and who isn't able to leave their home during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Edinburgh shops at Lothian Road, Morningside, the Edinburgh Fort, Newkirkgate, Princes Street, Craigleith, the Gyle and Edinburgh Airport are all involved.

Any items ordered with the rapid delivery service will be sent between 11am and 4pm Prices start at £5.40 but depend on the distance and size of item orfered.

Superdrug e-commerce director Matt Walburn said: “The courier service is something that has been in development for a while.

“We’ve brought it forward urgently to help those customers who are social distancing who might be in need of essential supplies quickly.

“We’re so pleased to be able to roll it out immediately to nearly half of our estate and we hope it goes some way in helping people during this time of need.”

Superdrug have stopped restocking non-essential ranges so there is more focus on products most in-demand.
