SuperCupNI Junior results: Co Tyrone hold Man Utd as Co Londonderry see off Arsenal

Co Tyrone held Manchester United to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday night to all but end the Red Devils' hopes of SuperCupNI glory.

Padraig Lynch's second half penalty earned the county boys a spirited point at the Riada Stadium in Ballymoney.

Lynch scored after Cameron Crook was adjudged to have been fouled inside the area to cancel out Daniel Kavanagh's opener for United.

It leaves Martin Gallagher's Tyrone team fifth in the Junior standings - the top four after today's round of games will proceed to the SuperCupNI semi-finals.

United are labouring in 13th spot following two draws - they were also held by Strikers on Monday.

Tyrone's joy was mirrored by Co Londonderry as they claimed a famous win over Arsenal at Anderson Park.

Captain Corey McLaughlin's first-half goal sealed a 1-0 victory over the Gunners in Coleraine.

McLaughlin was coolness personified as he latched onto Shea Curran's through ball before rounding the keeper and firing home.

Co Londonderry drew their opening game against Plymouth Argyle on Monday and will come up against Co Armagh on Wednesday (5.30pm).

Rangers were on scoring form once again with a 6-1 rout of Bracknell Town.

The Light Blues kicked off the week with a 6-0 win over Co Armagh on Monday, and they repeated the dose on Tuesday night.

Goals from Harley Ewen (2), Mackenzie Strachan, Glentoran youngster Charlie Lindsay and Thomas Lonergan saw the Scottish side cruise to maximum points, with Global Premier Soccer next up on Wednesday night.

Elsewhere, Co Antrim remain on course for a third successive Junior title after hammering Co Fermanagh 7-0 at the Riada Stadium in Ballymoney.

Fresh from their 5-1 win over Dundalk on Monday, Stef Seaton's boys were on the goal trail once again.

Callum Marshall - who scored a hat-trick on Monday against Dundalk SL - bagged another two, with Connor Scannell also scoring twice for the county boys.

Elliott Wood, Conall Curran and Brodie Spencer added to the tally to wrap up a convincing win.

Elsewhere, Co Down were on the receiving end of a 4-1 defeat to Global Premier Soccer at Riada 2 in Ballymoney.

Patrick Shearer got Down's only goal, with Jacob Leone, Cooper Banks, David Sales and Grayson Mendelsohn on target for GPS.

Co Armagh lost 2-0 to Dundee United, while Pumas Unam eased past Strikers 5-0.

Elsewhere, Charlton Athletic made it two wins from two with a 2-1 victory over Collina, while Plymouth Argyle saw off O'Higgins 2-0.

Leeds United and Wallsend drew 1-1, with Dundalk SL beating Cherry Orchard 2-0.
