Manchester City have been ranked as the best club in the world, beating 635 other clubs to the top spot.
These include the likes of Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich, Champions League winners Chelsea and Copa del Rey victors Barcelona.
City, who lifted last season’s Premier League title, have topped the list with a Soccer Power Index score of 92.4.
There will be no surprise to see Pep Guardiola's side finish top of the list, with the Spaniard guiding them to a League Cup win during the last campaign and a Champions League final too.
So, how did City top the list?
The way in which this score is determined by FiveThirtyEight is based on an offensive and defensive rating.
The first being the expected goals the club would score against an average team at a neutral venue. While the latter is the number of goals City are expected to concede.
Furthermore, the overall score is based on a points system, where a club gets three points for a win, one for a draw and none for a loss.
In this instance City have an offensive rating of 2.8 and a defensive rating of 0.2.
The club’s fans will be happy to see them ranked first on another list, however, they might like it even more knowing that rivals Manchester United sit eighth on the list with an SPI of 85.5.
