Supercomputer predicts winner in Liverpool vs Tottenham Champions League final

Liverpool are huge favourites to return from Madrid with their sixth Champions League title, according to a supercomputer prediction.

The Reds take on Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the Wanda Metropolitano this Saturday in the highly anticipated, all-English Champions League final.

Victory in the Spanish capital would secure a sixth Champions League and European Cup title for Liverpool, while Tottenham are in search of their first.

Jurgen Klopp's men are regarded as heavy favourites by most, having racked up an astonishing 97 points in the Premier League this season, finishing 26 points ahead of Tottenham and beating them twice during the domestic season.

And they are also heavy favourites according to FiveThirtyEight 's supercomputer, which has calculated the likely outcome of the clash using a wide variety of data.

According to the prediction, Reds fans can feel pretty confident heading into Saturday night's clash.

Liverpool have a whopping 72% chance of winning, while Spurs' chances of claiming a historic first European title are rated at just 28%.

Those are odds Jurgen Klopp and his men will certainly take heading into the finale of what has been, despite the lack of silverware so far, a tremendous season for the club.

Football can be often unpredictable and given only one of the Reds' five Champions League final victories has been by more than one goal, it could be another long night in Madrid this weekend.
