Supercomputer predicts weekend's Premier League results - How Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal get on

There is not too long remaining in the Premier League season and every match is pivotal at both ends of the table.

While Liverpool and Manchester City fight for the title, where it seems like whoever blinks first loses, the battle for a top-four finish below them is equally fierce as Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United fight to secure the two remaining Champions League spots.

There is also a stern battle for a seventh-placed finish, which would result in Europa League football next season if City beat Watford in the FA Cup final, while at the foot of the table a number of sides are scrapping to avoid relegation.

It is difficult to predict the results at this stage of the season but a supercomputer developed by the University of Reading has done exactly that, giving it’s predictions for the weekend matches for the BBC - and it’s bad news for Manchester United.

Using a sophisticated model that factors in historic results, managerial changes and even travel distance, the supercomputer has predicted Everton will inflict a 1-0 defeat upon a United side who have struggled recently.

Wins for Arsenal, Chelsea and Wolves are also predicted, while West Ham are tipped to defeat Leicester City at the London Stadium.

You can see the supercomputer’s full predicted results below.
