'Supercomputer' predicts surprise outcome of Liverpool vs Arsenal at Anfield

The Premier League is famed for its unpredictability, it keeps you guessing right until the very end.

After two week's filled with superb goals, ridiculous saves and lots of VAR controversy, England's top flight is gearing up for matchday three this weekend.

The clash of the weekend, in many people's eyes, takes places at Anfield on Saturday as Arsenal take on Liverpool.

Both sides lay their 100% starts to the season on the line in a clash that has produced goals aplenty in recent years.

The Reds defeated Southampton 2-1 last Saturday, whilst Arsenal dispatched Burnley by the same scoreline.

Liverpool have scored 23 goals in their last seven clashes with the Gunners.

Unai Emery's side have a dynamic attack of their own now, though, and will head to Merseyside confident they can trouble the European champions.

The Arsenal boss' biggest dilemma is whether to go hell for leather and throw Nicolas Pepe in for Premier League debut, after back-to-back substitute appearances.

BT Sports 'script', which was well-documented at the start of the season, has attempted to predict every Premier League score this season.

Cutting edge 'machine learning' artificial intelligence, as BT Sport put it, is responsible for the predictions.

This isn't the first time we've seen 'supercomputer' predictions but it does make for an interesting experiment as they look to second guess the entire campaign.

So, will it be Aubameyang and Lacazette who spoil the party, or will Jurgen Klopp's killer trio do their usual damage?

Well, the supercomputer is going along with most bookmakers and pundits and backing Liverpool for all three points.

The technology has suggested it will be a 2-0 win for Klopp's side, ending Arsenal's unbeaten run.

A clean sheet would certainly be most welcome for the Reds, who have looked vulnerable in the early stages of the season.

As a result, Emery will be confident his talented front lie can impose themselves and cause problems for the Liverpool backline.
