Supercomputer predicts Rangers final points tally as Steven Gerrard's side look to crack 100 point barrier

Steven Gerrard has masterminded a dominant season for Rangers as the side reclaimed the Premiership trophy.

The Ibrox side are on course for an unbeaten league campaign and are the favourites to lift the Scottish Cup this season.

It's now time for supporters to get their calculators out and see how many records they can claim in the final run-in with three fixtures remaining.

The boffins FiveThirtyEight, through their Club Soccer Predictions model, believe they will reach a club record points tally for the club.

As it stands the club can break the 100 point barrier for the first time but the supercomputer believes the the champions will take two draws and a win from the games against Celtic, Livingston and Aberdeen.

That would see the side remain unbeaten, but finish the campaign on 98 points.

That means they will surpass the the 2002/03 campaign's final tally of 97 points which saw them pip their Glasgow rivals to the title on goal difference.

It would be the third third highest points total recorded in the Scottish top flight only falling behind Martin O'Neill's Hoops 2001/02 103 points total and Brendan Rodgers ' 2016/17 unbeaten season which ended on 106 points.

They are expected to finish the season a whopping 22 points ahead of dethroned champions Celtic after a nightmare campaign, according to the stats.

At the bottom, Hamilton are projected to finish rock bottom of the table with Kilmarnock in 10th to narrowly avoid the play-off.

It looks set to be a photo finish, with only goal difference condemning Ross County to a play-off spot.
