Supercomputer predicts Premier League table with great news for Man City and Arsenal

There is not long remaining in the Premier League season and another action-packed day has affected the standings at both ends of the table.

Manchester City retook top-spot after seeing off Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad Stadium, putting the pressure back on Liverpool ahead of their clash with Cardiff City on Sunday, and the result also affects Spurs’ top-four hopes.

Aston Villa odds slashed as punters worry about Leeds United but Bristol City still backed - Championship odds

At the opposite end of the table, Newcastle United’s Premier League status was all but mathematically secured after putting Southampton to the sword in a 3-1 victory, while Brighton also secured an important point against Wolves.

It is still difficult to predict how the final standings will look but FootballWebPages have done exactly that, analysing the remaining fixtures and the form of each team to come up with a full Premier League table for the end of the same.

The big news comes at the top of the table as Man City are tipped to defend their Premier League crown and finish a point against Liverpool, who remarkably finish second despite an impressive haul of 97 points.

'Disgusting to hear the media talk up Leeds' - What Sheffield United, Bristol City, Aston Villa and other Championship promotion chasers are saying

Despite today’s defeat, Tottenham are expected to finish third and occupy a Champions League spot, two points ahead of north London rivals Arsenal, with the Gunners finishing a single point above Manchester United.

Watford win the battle for the ‘best of the rest’, meaning the Hornets will play in the Europa League next season regardless of their result in the FA Cup final, while at the bottom it’s heartbreak for Cardiff City who join Fulham and Huddersfield Town in the Championship next year.
