Supercomputer predicts Manchester United vs Crystal Palace and Liverpool vs Arsenal results

Manchester United 's upcoming match at home to Crystal Palace has been predicted by a supercomputer with an interesting result.

BT Sport created The Script before the start of the season with the help of data experts Google Cloud, Opta and Squawka in a bid to predict every Premier League match. Cutting edge 'machine learning' artificial intelligence is responsible for the predictions.

But football is also unpredictable and it's safe to say United follow that train of thought following a disappointing and surprising sixth place league finish last term.

The Red Devils began the new campaign with a 4-0 win over Chelsea at Old Trafford before they were held to a 1-1 draw at Wolves last time out. Palace, meanwhile, have drawn at home to Everton and lost on the road at Sheffield United in their opening two games.

But what about the result for the latest clash to be staged at the Theatre of Dreams? Palace shared a 0-0 draw with United in Manchester last year, with the Red Devils winning the return fixture 3-1.

This time around the game is expected to have goals galore, with The Script predicting United to romp to a 5-0 victory. It's fair to say that fans of the club will certainly take that.

Supercomputer predictions for this weekend

Aston Villa 1-2 Everton

Liverpool 2-0 Arsenal

Norwich 0-2 Chelsea

Brighton 1-0 Southampton

Manchester United 5-0 Crystal Palace

Sheffield United 1-2 Leicester City

Watford 0-1 West Ham

Bournemouth 0-5 Manchester City

Tottenham 4-0 Newcastle

Wolves 1-2 Burnley
