A supercomputer has predicted the result of the Euro 2020 Final ahead of England's clash with Italy at Wembley on Sunday.
The match, England's first final since the 1966 World Cup, has captivated the entire nation, with fans flooding the streets after England's 2-1 victory over Denmark in the semi-final.
Stats Perform 's computer has given Italy a 58.7 per cent chance of winning the final, with England priced in to win at odds of roughly two-fifths, or 41.3 per cent, to be precise.
Roberto Mancini's Italy side have been very impressive at Euro 2020, beating Spain, Belgium and Austria in the knockout rounds.
Italy required penalties to progress past Spain in the semi-final, with Luis Enrique's side growing into the game and threatening to win it late on.
The performance will surely give hope to England fans, with England comfortably managing all of their games in the tournament so far.
Italy will also be without Roma's Leonardo Spinazzola, after he suffered an injury to his achilles tendon in the quarter-final match against Belgium.
In his place will be Chelsea's Emerson, whose natural inclination to get forward will open up space for England to attack on the right side.
Prior to the semi-finals, according to Stats Perform, England were the second placed favourites for the competition, with a 29.4 per cent chance of winning.
But Gareth Southgate's side will take heart from knowing that there are stats and intangibles in their favour.
The Three Lions have only conceded one goal all tournament - a free kick by Denmark's Mikkel Damsgaard. Before that goal, England had kept five consecutive clean sheets, shutting out Croatia, Scotland, Czech Republic, Germany and Ukraine.
According to InfoGol, England have only given up above one expected goal (xG) once all tournament - against Germany, and across the tournament their opponents muster, on average, a measly 0.6 xG per game.
England also have the formidable advantage of a home crowd, with the presence of fans at Wembley carrying the players through all but one of their games so far this tournament.

Stats Perform also rate both Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane very highly. The Manchester City winger is the hottest rated player from the tournament, racking up three goals from 3.82 xG, creating one assist and 1.13 xG and being involved in 23 "shot-ending" sequences and five "goal-ending" sequences.
Joint-top scorer Harry Kane has four goals from 3.57 xG, and involvement in 20 "shot-ending" sequences and six "goal-ending" sequences, demonstrating his value in the final third as a creator as well as a finisher.
Fans in the UK will be able to watch the match on both BBC 1 and ITV, as well as the BBC iPlayer and ITV Hub. The match kicks off at 8PM on Sunday.
