Supercomputer predicts Championship table with good news for Bristol City but disaster for Leeds United

We have hurtled into the business end of the season and the Championship is mere weeks away from it’s conclusion as just six games remain.

Norwich City continue to storm towards the title after sweeping aside Queens Park Rangers 4-0 on Saturday, extending their lead at the top of the table after Leeds United suffered defeat at the hands of Birmingham City.

West Bromwich Albion receive managerial blow, Leeds United agree fee for new signing - Championship rumours

That allowed Sheffield United to reclaim second spot in the standings, and the second automatic promotion spot, and it seems that it could prove to be decisive at the end of the campaign - as FootballWebPages have Marcelo Bielsa’s side missing out.

The prediction has Norwich hitting the 100 points mark to win the Championship, 11 points ahead of the Blades who sit on 89 points - level with Leeds. However, Chris Wilder’s side are tipped to finish with a goal difference that is seven higher than their Yorkshire rivals.

Bristol City’s promotion odds shorten as Leeds United's drift - latest Championship odds

Leeds would therefore secure third spot and playoff football, where they would be joined by West Brom, Aston Villa and Bristol City - the latter finishing two points ahead of a Middlesbrough side who have suffered a major fall from grace.

At the bottom of the table, Ipswich Town would finish rock-bottom, one point behind Bolton Wanderers who would join them in League One next season, and the final relegation spot would be taken by Reading - who finish a point behind Rotherham United, with Wigan Athletic a further four points ahead.
