Supercars driver Fabian Coulthard appears to have been left in the dark about his future after Team Sydney was sold to a new owner.
The ex-DJR Team Penske star, who joined Team Sydney at the start of the 2021 campaign, posted a comment on Facebook under a story about owners Jonathon and Kobe Webb selling the outfit to businessman Peter Xiberras.
"I wonder where this leave (sic) me in the whole picture ...," Coulthard commented.
The New Zealander, who has claimed 13 wins in over 400 starts in his Supercars career, finished 24th in his debut campaign with Team Sydney.
It highlighted the difficult transition to the back of the pack for the 39-year-old after being a part of the Shell V-Power Racing team during their dominant period when teammate Scott McLaughlin claimed three straight titles between 2018 and 2020.
The Webb family confirmed the sale to Xiberras, who runs the PremiAir Hire business, in a statement on Thursday.
The sale brings to an end Webb's 12-year involvement as a driver and team owner in the championship, highlighted by Tekno Autosport's Bathurst 1000 triumph in 2016.
Tekno took over the tender for the two-car Team Sydney outfit in 2020 but the outfit has struggled to make an impact in the championship in its two seasons so far.
