Nottingham Forest will continue their Sky Bet Championship promotion push in impressive style on Tuesday night, according to Liverpool legend Phil Thompson.
The Reds moved to within a point of the automatic promotion places on Saturday evening with a big 2-0 victory over Leeds United.
That made it just one defeat in their last nine league outings for Sabri Lamouchi’s men, who are now within touching distance of the top two.
Next up for the Reds is a home game against struggling Charlton Athletic tomorrow.
The Addicks started the season well, but have tailed off and are now just four points above the relegation zone.
Thompson can’t see it getting any better for Lee Bowyer’s men as he backed an emphatic Forest win in his latest Super6 prediction.
“This match-up speaks for itself,” he said.
“Confidence is running high at the minute for Nottingham Forest after a superb win over Leeds, which puts them just a point off the automatic promotion places.
“Charlton were beaten well by Stoke and are hanging dangerously above the relegation zone. This will be a comfortable home win for Forest.”
