Super Worm Moon arrives in Glasgow as photos capture stunning night sky

Spectacular photos taken on Tuesday night show the arrival of the 'Super Worm Moon' in Glasgow.

The supermoon appeared in Glasgow shortly before 6pm, with our lunar satellite looking both bigger and brighter in the sky, the moon's orbit being its closest to earth.

This month's full moon has been deemed the Super Worm Moon due to the time of year, with earthworms rising from the thawing ground at the end of winter.

Glasgow Live reader and photographer Jamie McFadyen sent us in these fantastic photos, which show the moon as seen over the River Clyde in the city centre, with the famous Clutha pub in the background.

Did you get any snaps of the supermoon last night?
