Super Paradise Beach club launches on the South Bank with 30,000 tonnes of sand

Londoners will be able to enjoy a day at the beach without leaving the city with the launch of a beach club by the Thames.

With the capital braced for temperatures above 30C tomorrow, people will be able to cool off at the 5,000 sq ft purpose-built Super Paradise Beach on the South Bank.

Located next to the National Theatre, it has been created in a former car park with over 30 tonnes of imported sand.

As well as deck chairs and seating areas there will be 12 VIP cabanas set around three bars and a dance floor. There is also an indoor section for “inclement weather.”

Two all-day parties are planned for Sunday July 14 and Saturday July 27, with tickets costing £15. Organisers say they will “bring the South of France to South London.”
