Super League predictions as media struggle to split Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves

Our pundit panel are back with their predictions for the round 16 fixtures in Super League.

First up is tonight's intriguing clash between Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Here is how our pundits see the game going.

James O’Brien – Rugby League Live

Wigan have found some form and are starting to get some troops back whereas Warrington have been inactive for weeks. I'm backing the battle-hardened Warriors.

Prediction: Wigan

Matthew Shaw – Rugby League Live

A shame there’s no George Williams, that would have been spicy. Wigan have been improving and this is their biggest test since the start of their revival.

I’m tipping them to sneak it.

Prediction: Wigan

Richard Stead – BBC Radio Humberside

A real acid test for Wigan, whose three game winning streak will be difficult to maintain against better class opponents. Warrington haven’t played for three weeks and that seems to have helped and hindered other sides in equal measure during this interruption hit season

Prediction: Warrington Wolves

William Jackson – Rugby League Live

Wigan have found more traction in recent weeks and that will help as they make the journey to the Halliwell Jones Stadium and with John Bateman, their pack looks stronger. However, Warrington haven’t played for over three weeks and that freshness could be the difference.

Prediction: Warrington

Ross Heppenstall – Rugby League Live

Wigan were humiliated by Warrington at the DW Stadium last month and will be keen to make amends.

On the back of three straight wins, the Warriors are buoyant and I can see them nicking this one.

Prediction: Wigan

Current standings

Richard Stead: 61

Ross Heppenstall: 61

Will Jackson: 59

James Smailes: 58

James O’Brien: 57

Gareth Walker: 55

Matt Shaw: 53
