Super Bowl LVI ratings suggest the underdog Bengals are a big hit

The Cincinnati Bengals are a hit.

That sort of idea didn’t need ratings numbers from Super Bowl LVI as proof, not with the viral sensation guys like Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase and C.J. Uzomah have become in recent weeks.

But those Super Bowl ratings sure don’t hurt, either.

Days after the big game, the NFL announced the Super Bowl was watched by 112.3 million viewers, a dramatic leap and the biggest number in recent years.

And the biggest local market rating of all? First place belonged to Cincinnati. The Los Angeles local market didn’t make the top 10.

Burrow and Co. haven’t just revived a longstanding football city — they’ve become a national commodity and continuously proven worthy of a handful of primetime appearances each season.
