Super Bowl fan cutouts will fill seats at Raymond James Stadium

TAMPA, Fla. — There will be 24,700 fans in attendance at Raymond James Stadium for Super Bowl 55, with an untold number of two-dimensional fan cutouts filling in the rest of the 66,000-plus capacity stadium.

Much as Major League Baseball teams like the Rays did during their pandemic-affected season, the NFL is asking fans to upload a picture online to be photo-printed on a corrugated plastic cutout to be placed in a seat during the game on Feb. 7.

Each cutout costs $100 and comes with entry into a drawing for two tickets to Super Bowl 56 in Los Angeles. Two pairs of tickets will be given away.

A portion of the proceeds from the cutouts will be donated to charity, the NFL said.

You can’t decide exactly where your cutout will be be seated at Raymond James Stadium, but a cutout can be purchased through an AFC or NFC webpage.

Those who buy cutouts will be sent a link to a photo of the stadium, after the game, where they can find their cutout and tag themselves to share on social media.

The cutouts can be purchased at afc.sbfancutouts.com or nfc.sbfancutouts.com.
