Leith locals came together last night for one big rendition of Proclaimers anthem Sunshine on Leith as the coronavirus pandemic continues.
The movement began when a number of Leithers expressed interest in a social media campaign planning to blast the song from every window and balcony.
The event mirrored similar movements emerging from Italy where locals on lockdown have been joining forced to play music from their windows to lift spirits.
At 8pm people in Leith came together to sing the song as a tribute to all of the hospital, supermarket, transport and care workers who continue to work through the COVID-19 outbreak
