Police have charged a Sunshine Coast private school teacher with possessing child exploitation material after spending nine months combing through his electronic devices.
Police arrested the man from Glenview, north of Landsborough, on Thursday and charged him with three counts including possessing, accessing and making available child abuse material.
Detectives searched the man's home in January and seized devices for forensic examination.
It took officers nine months to collate the evidence needed to charge the teacher.
Queensland Police have released a video of the arrest, showing officers reading out the charge to a man who is then walked into the Maroochydore Police Station.
Police have not revealed where the teacher worked but said there was no evidence he abused any private school students, although the investigation was continuing.
The man is on strict bail conditions to reappear in court on October 14.
It is not known whether he entered a plea.
In a statement, Detective Inspector Glen Donaldson of the Child Abuse and Sexual Crime Group's unit — Argos — said officers had been tenacious in investigating child abuse cases.
"These images have been created through the abuse of real children and anyone involved in possessing or distributing these images continues this cycle of victimisation."
