For the unversed, the 44-year old actor was admitted to Asian Heart Institute in Mumbai after complaining of chest pain last month. The doctor at the hospital, while talking exclusively to ETimes TV, informed that Sunil had suffered a heart attack and was also found Covid positive at the time of admission.
Sunil underwent a bypass surgery after major blockages were found in three of his arteries.
The actor has been advised to stay off work for a couple of weeks for a full recovery.
The doctor at the hospital had shared with us, "Since he has received all arterial grafts using internal mammary arteries, his long term results should be good and he will be able to lead a normal life in the long term with proper care which should include proper diet, exercise, yoga and medicine. He is a positive person with a bright outlook to life."
