One of Northern Ireland's top music festivals, Sunflowerfest, is set to host an event next week, which will feature artists performing at the festival site and their sets being live streamed to the public.
Sunflowerfest said: "After a well-deserved break in 2019, Sunflowerfest was due to make a triumphant return this summer. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the three-day festival at Tubby’s Farm in Hillsborough had to be cancelled.
"Not to be discouraged, and to help fill the void, Sunflowerfest have lined up some amazing local and overseas artists for the first ever Sunflowerfest livestream gig. The livestream will be broadcast free on Saturday the 25th July and will feature several local bands who have become firm crowd favourites at the festival over the years.
"There is also the chance to take part in a free on-line Shaking Medicine workshop with Dr Keith Motes from midday to help get you grounded, loosened up and in the mood for a day of quality music."
In addition to live performances, the livestream will also feature interviews and chats with artists throughout the day.
The event is being broadcast from the newly re-furbished Moot stage on the festival farm with the help and support of Forestside Shopping Centre and Tuar Pro.
