Sunderland vs Sheffield Wednesday team news as Lee Johnson names unchanged side

Lee Johnson named an unchanged side against Sheffield Wednesday, sticking with the same XI that began Monday's win at Doncaster Rovers.

Midfielder Carl Winchester missed that game due to a calf problem and was rated as 50-50 going into tonight's match, but he was not even included on the Black Cats' bench at the Stadium of Light.

Johnson named the same seven subs as at Doncaster, with Dennis Cirkin, Denver Hume, and Frederik Alves the only senior outfielders, alongside youngsters Ollie Younger, Will Harris, and Benji Kimpioka.
