Sunderland vs Ipswich team news: One change for Black Cats

Phil Parkinson made just one enforced change to the side that lost at Portsmouth last weekend.

Tom Flanagan came into the three-man back line in place of Joel Lynch, who missed out due to rib and knee problems he suffered in a collision with Jon McLaughlin at Fratton Park.

Alim Ozturk returned to the bench as central defensive cover, and Parkinson also included three of his January signings amongst the subs – Josh Scowen, Kyle Lafferty, and Antoine Semenyo.

Ipswich Town boss Paul Lambert made changes five changes to the the side that lost heavily at home to Peterborough United last Saturday.

Goalkeeper Tomas Holy, Janoi Donacien, James Norwood, Jon Nolan, and Myles Kenlock came into the side, with Will Norris, Kayden Jackson, Alan Judge, the injured Luke Garbutt, and the suspended Gwion Edwards missing out.
