Sunderland striker faces excruciating Rangers poser as hilarious mug reveal explains all

Chris Maguire has taken a playful pop at Rangers during a fan Q&A on the Sunderland Twitter feed.

The Glasgow born-striker responds to a question from a fan when asked if he would rather play for Rangers or his current club's arch-rivals Newcastle United.

In a hilarious video that has become a hit on Twitter, Maguire replies: "Hmm, let me think about that one."

Looking like he is pondering the question fully, the striker then slowly brings a Celtic branded Treble treble mug into frame to reveal his Scottish affiliations.

It's the Kermit the Frog meme brought to life.

The forward takes a quick sip of his drink before saying, "None."

The 31-year-old spent six years at Aberdeen, before becoming a much travelled figure in the English lower leagues.

Maguire has 17 goals in 68 games for Mackems and was featured in the Sunderland Till I Die documentary currently screening on Netflix to significant praise.
