Sunderland defender Luke O'Nien has opened up on an unsavoury incident during his side's League One play-off semi-final second leg at Portsmouth.
The Black Cats prevailed in the tie thanks to a 1-0 aggregate win, with Chris Maguire's goal in the first leg at the Stadium of Light proving to be the difference.
But the second leg at Fratton Park will be remembered for ugly scenes which saw O'Nien subjected to 'some digs' by Portsmouth fans, one of whom was arrested after the game.
The 24-year-old ended up on his back in the crowd after a coming together with Portsmouth midfielder Tom Naylor before a Portsmouth fan seemed to kick the Sunderland player.
O'Nien insists he wasn't hurt by the incident which took place over the boards and in the home end of Fratton Park, but did explain post-match that he was spoken to by the police.

“I went over the boards and they had a few digs at me but that’s just football. It’s fine," O'Nien told Sky Sports.

“They (the police) asked me if I wanted to press charges but that’s just football. Listen, when the whistle goes it’s two teams going at it and two crowds. That’s part of it.
