Northern Ireland international Conor McLaughlin has signed for Sunderland, the club has announced.
The Belfast-born full-back has made 232 appearances in English football, with 132 of those coming in League One.
The 27-year-old free agent has signed a two-year deal and becomes Sunderland boss Jack Ross’ first signing of the summer.
Ross said: “I am delighted to be able to bring Conor to the club.
“He brings quality and experience to a position that was of high priority for us to have options in. I look forward to working with him over the course of the season.”
McLaughlin, who has 34 caps for Northern Ireland , began his career at Preston North End before a loan spell at Shrewsbury Town came at the start of 2012.
Later that year, the right-sided defender joined Fleetwood Town and went on to enjoy five years at Highbury Stadium, making over 160 appearances.
A move to Millwall followed in 2017, with the Northern Ireland international making 32 league appearances during his two-year spell at The Den.
