Sunderland's academy sides have confirmed their pre-season plans - with the U23s set to face Wearside League team Silksworth in their first friendly.
Elliott Dickman's development side will play Silksworth on Saturday, July 6 (2pm), and Northern Premier League team Whitby Town on Tuesday, July 23 (7.30pm), with both games taking place behind closed doors at the Academy of Light.
Sunderland U23s will also face Northern League Division One side Hebburn Town on Friday, July 12 (7.30pm), at Hebburn Sports and Social Ground, before rounding off their preparations against Northern League Division One Bishop Auckland on Thursday, August 1 (7pm), at Heritage Park.
Mark Atkinson's U18 academy side has six pre-season games confirmed.
They will play Birtley on Saturday, July 6 (1pm), Sunderland Foundation on Wednesday, July 10 (11am), Hartlepool United on Thursday, July 25 (11am), and Dundee United on Friday, August 2 (2pm), with all four of those games played behind closed doors at the Academy of Light.
They will also take on Sunderland RCA on Saturday, July 13 (3pm) at Meadow Park, and Jarrow on Saturday, July 20 (1pm), at Perth Green.
The full Premier League 2 and U18 Premier League fixture programmes are due to be announced next month.
