Poyet, of course, managed Sunderland between 2013 and 2015 before being replaced by Dick Advocaat. He has recently be linked with a return to the club, with fellow Uruguayan Juan Sartori believed to be involved in the current takeover bid.
Pearson is another who features in the betting, with the former Leicester manager looking for a new challenge since being sacked by Watford at the end of last season.
