Sunderland's Mitch Curry set to join David Beckham's Inter Miami

Sunderland's Mitch Curry is on the brink of joining David Beckham's MLS side Inter Miami, according to reports.

Roker Report claims that the Black Cats youngster, whose deal runs out in the summer, has sealed an early exit from the Stadium of Light.

The 21-year-old has been in impressive form for Sunderland's under-23's side this season but has been absent from their matchday squad in recent weeks.

This had prompted fans to question whether he may be part of Lee Johnson's plans for the first team but nothing has transpired.

SunSport, revealed that Curry will link up with Inter’s B team, Fort Lauderdale CF ahead of the 2021 MLS season.

Reports suggest that the Black Cats will have a 15% sell on fee included in the transfer, but will not receive a fee for the youngster.

Curry will join former Sunderland winger Lewis Morgan in America. Phil Neville's side also includes former Galactico striker Gonzalo Higuaín and former Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi.

Curry has scored seven goals in ten appearances since joining the club after his release from Middlesbrough.

The 21-year-old's move is pending a visa approval.
