Sunderland's game at promotion rivals Portsmouth picked for live TV coverage

Sunderland's game at Portsmouth next month has been selected for live TV coverage.

The Black Cats' trip to Fratton Park to take on promotion rivals Pompey will be shown live by Sky Sports on their Sky Sports Football channel, with the date and kick-off time - 7.45pm on Tuesday, March 9 - remaining unchanged.

It means Sunderland will feature in two televised games in the space of six days, with the game at Portsmouth quickly followed by the EFL Trophy final.

Lee Johnson's Black Cats will play League Two Tranmere Rovers in the Trophy final at Wembley, with that game taking place at 3pm on Sunday, March 14.
