Sunderland's fixture list on your phone: Download the Black Cats' schedule to your calendar

Sunderland now know their schedule for the 2019-20 League One campaign, and you can assure you never have difficulty remembering who’s up next for the Black Cats by downloading the Chronicle’s fixtures calendar to your phone.

Sunderland will compete in the third tier of English football next term for just the third time in their history and will host Oxford on the opening weekend of the new season. Having failed to secure promotion last season, it is the first time ever they have back-to-back seasons at this level, and Jack Ross knows the pressure is on to ensure promotion this time around.

Meanwhile, they will close the season away at Rotherham who will no doubt also hope to be in the running for automatic promotion. They’re home to Bolton on Boxing Day, while the New Year’s Day fixture brings about a trip to Fleetwood.

You will never struggle to remember who is next up for Jack Ross’ side by downloading our calendar to your phone though, with each fixture then automatically displaying in your phone’s calendar on the relevant day.

We’ve included the pre-season friendlies, while we will also add cup fixtures as they’re decided and we’ll automatically update the calendar for any rescheduled matches too.

The Carabao Cup first round fixture against Accrington Stanley is already included, while the FA Cup first round and Checkatrade Trophy group stage is still to be drawn.

That means if you initially download the fixtures to your phone you won’t have to do a thing thereafter. Any change in the schedule will automatically update for you.

The calendar just carries on from last season, so if you did have last season's calendar already downloaded on your phone, the new fixtures should automatically be updated onto your phone calender now.

For those who are downloading the calendar for the first time:

iPhone/iPad users can download the fixtures by clicking here.

If you’re having issues you can still subscribe to the calendar by following these instructions:

Go to Settings; Mail, Contacts, and Calendars; Add Account.

Select Other; Add Subscribed Calendar and then paste: http://bit.ly/2MaqBa8

Android users can download the fixtures by clicking here.

(For Android, the calendar can take up to eight hours to update).

If you experience problems with Android, log into your Google calendar, go to ‘other calendars’, click the arrow and ‘Add by URL’ then paste this link:
