A number of Championship clubs are keeping an eye on Sunderland's Charlie Wyke and Rangers loanee Jordan Jones, according to reports.
Football League World claims that Middlesbrough are among the clubs tracking Sunderland's top goalscorer Wyke.
The 28-year-old is out of contract in the summer and has scored an impressive 25 goals for Lee Johnson's side this season.
It's believed Johnson would want to keep Wyke on Wearside beyond this summer, but that could hinge on whether or not Sunderland earn promotion to the Championship.
The EFL recently scrapped the League One salary cap which would work in the Black Cats favour in the summer following Kyril Louis-Dreyfus' takeover.
A new striker is on the top of Neil Warnock's shopping list at the Riverside and Boro born Wyke is believed to be a player of interest.
The Teessiders are also reportedly interested in former Boro youth player Jones.
The 26-year-old, who came through the academy system at the Riverside, failed to make an appearance for the first team before linking up with Kilmarnock in 2016.
Jones is also attracting interest from Stoke City having seemingly played his last game for Steven Gerrard's Rangers side.
Middlesbrough have declined to comment on the transfer speculation according to FLW but with both players originating from the region, it would make sense to see them linked with the club.
Ranger recently set their asking price for Jones at around £600,000.
