Aiden O'Brien's hat-trick sent Sunderland through to the third round of the Carabao Cup as they beat Blackpool in a thrilling game at Bloomfield Road.
The Black Cats fell behind early on to Shayne Lavery's strike, only for O'Brien to level almost immediately.
He then put Sunderland in front just before the hour, only for Blackpool sub Josh Bowler to level a couple of minutes from time.
But O'Brien completed his hat-trick in injury-time, scoring in front of the Sunderland fans to send Lee Johnson's side through.
