Sunderland on the hunt for strength and conditioning coach to add to Lee Johnson's coaching staff

Sunderland are on the lookout for a new strength and conditioning coach to lead their physical development programmes at the club.

The role, which has been advertised on Jobs In Football, will work with the first team squad.

The Black Cats are looking for an "experienced" coach capable of delivering "high-quality" services.

The job advert states: "We are seeking an experienced Strength and Conditioning Coach (40 hours, Monday to Sunday) able to demonstrate extensive experience in the development of high-quality services to performance athletes, groups and teams.

"The ability to engage, inspire and motivate players of varying ages is important to us as is the ability to share and collaborate with colleagues.

"The ideal candidate must possess sound technical understanding and the ability to work within the football ecosystem bringing a positive, problem-solving approach to SAFC.

"This position will include the design and structure of individual player development plans, providing impactful feedback to players to support progression and maintaining a comprehensive database of work conducted.
